the big move

As a military family we move a lot from a different location where my husband is stationed, when I arrived in the States we were in Georgia that time, I stayed there for about 4 weeks before we had to move to Maryland. We applied for our tax return while I was in GA and the IRS sent our checks to our previous address because we didnt have a return address labels or change our address when we filed our income tax. After all the confusion we finally received our checks in like 3 months and we were already in Maryland that time, it is important to always update your address especially when your works require you to move a lot.

my friends wedding

I have a childhood  friend who is getting married next summer, she really wanted to prepare her wedding ahead of time, she wanted to have a  memorable wedding, she invited me and my son to attend her wedding but sad to say we cant because we are very far away, Im hoping that my mom could come instead of me. We are really close since we grow up together our father work together in the military so where ever our dad works we are with them also.  I just spoke to her online and she asked me if I know a wedding coordinator,  so she can have someone prepare everything and stick to their budget. As much as possible she wants to save and get a discount wedding invitations for her upcoming wedding.
I'm so excited for her, finally she is going to get married soon.

 wtf is wrong with these people.. I'm a member of a Military spouse forum, and a husband of that "impostor" outed one of the famous member in that forum, and told us that "Kaylin" is not who we think she is, that is not even her real name , she was stealing pictures from some girl pretending to be in college, and only 21 years old.. when in fact she is married have two kids and is 35 years old..
I have been a member of the forum for the last 2 years and i really find her post funny and i always thought her pictures were really pretty. She made a fake facebook and myspace account added some of the member of that forum, one of her closest friend in the forum asked her to be her maid of honor, she really felt betrayed..
Looks like she made up all those stories about her mother died of cancer, ...what kind of  person does that?? her mom is still alive.. my goodness!!

The saddest part of all is that she had a "fiance" who is deployed in iraq right now, the guy wanted to visit "her" on his R&R but she make up excuses not to see him, so the guy proposed to her even if they have not seen each other in person or even on a webcam  and they were engaged, then later on when this all happened and we found out someone informed him that "Kaylin" is not real, he was really upset...

This girl is really SICK shes married and has 2 kids, what a lonely life must she have to make up all the lies!
Lesson learned never ever trust a person whom you dont know  and not meet in real life.. well except for a few good friends ive meet here in blog world.

sending money

I tried sending money today  to my sister but unfortunately it was canceled and I dont know whats wrong with it, they already took out the money from my bank. When I called their customer service I was on hold for like 5-10 minutes until I can talk to somebody, well,they told me that they would return back the money in 3-5 days.
I just wish that I'll have it back in time for Christmas, I dont have a lot of money nor a cds. Anyway, I spoke to my friend here, I should have send it using a bank account not a debit card.. oh well I'm going to it again and this time I am going to use my husband's account. I hope there will be no more problems this time.

Shopping for the Holidays

I find it difficult to shop especially when you are on a tight budget, I would usually browse online to compare prices on different store before driving to that specific retailer to purchasing something. Now that I have found shopwiki a shopping engine comparison where I can find great deals and  products in every store.

My uncle who lives in Australia is asking me where I  shop for my baby gears , his wife just gave birth last month and he had no idea where to shop over there. I also spoke to my friend who is residing in the Netherland , we were discussing  winter fashion since it has been really cold lately and I needed a coat to keep me warm. I asked for her help what kind of winter jacket to get for myself, she then told me about looking into sales so I can save more.

This Holiday season  is a really a good time to shop because every retailers are on Sale, so If you are looking for a perfect gift to your loved ones be sure to check good deals that can be found online.

My husband is in the Military so I always make sure that at least Im updated with whats going on  around us especially in politics, we discuss it regularly and I visit political forums in the usa. I like to read what others have to say about this Government, I need to learn about Immigration issues too since Im a new immigrant in this Country, I want to know my rights and as a Parent I want to gather all information for my children too. I really thought that this Administration would pull out the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan but looks like we have to wait a little longer. I dont want my husband to ever deploy again, he has been deployed twice and it's really hard if we would be apart again.

shopping

I have a hard time trying to find my size when I go shopping for clothes, I would usually go to girls section because thats the only section where I can find my own sizes. I haven't bought a pair of jeans ever since I got here, the jeans are usually too long for me and I had no where to have it altered without paying too much. It was a good decision that I bought like five new jeans before I left our Country, Im also going totake a look at  William Rast women's jeans because Ive heard that they carry the hottest styles of jeans, I'm a jeans and shirt kind of person,you can find mostly t shirts and jeans on my closet. I find it very comfortable  wearing them a sneakers of a flip flops but now that it's winter time I wear my jeans with my boots.

Actress Britany Murphy died today apparently of cardiac arrest,she was only 32 years old.It is so sad, one of her movies that I like 'Uptown girl" with Dakota Fanning. My condolence to her family

This will be our first Christmas here in the States, although its not fun and festive like in Pinas, I'm still happy because we are complete and we get to spend it with the newest member of the family, our lil Angel baby Perry!

under the knife

I have been struggling with my weight ever since, I dont have a good figure nor slim when I was still single. Now, after having two kids my weight problem got worse, I have extra fat around my belly. My stomach is not as tight as before, I think I might need a tummy tuck in the near future. I want to have my old body back, so I can at least wear my clothes and help me gain more confidence. I was just told a few days ago that our insurance will cover cosmetic surgery, so thats something to look forward to. A new friend of mine just had her boobs enhanced and she is happy with the change. Who knows someday I might consider it, so far Its not really bothering me that much, Im glad that I have that option if ever I want to undergo under the knife soon.

I didn't know the importance of insurance before I came here, because it's not really common where I came from. When I gave birth we didn't pay a single cent because we have such a good insurance coverage for our family, I can take my children to any hospitals for an appointments or a Doctors visit and not worry about the expense I might incurred. If any members of my family will get sick I will not worry if I dont have money to pay. It is really expensive if your don't have any insurance here, When my husband wrecked his car, his auto insurance took care of everything. You need a good insurance for almost everything such as HVG Insurance. Everybody should get an Insurance that will suit their needs,it is nice to know that what ever happens, your insurance provider will take care of it.

tired

I'm a sleep deprived momma, that's what I always complain to my husband. Its not easy to get a good night sleep when you have an infant, plus I'm breast feeding. I'm always tired and dont want to go out anymore, I want to sleep as much as I can. Our schedule completely change when our little Angel came into this world,we dont go out or eat out anymore. Yesterday I went shopping with my kids and I pass by a beds for sale sign and I wanted to just sleep right there and then. After I bought what I wanted, I rushed home so I could take a nap since my husband is off and he can take care of our babies. This is the everyday challenge of being a mom but hey, I'm happy and contented with my life especially that I have a wonderful husband and adorable kids.

meeting friends

Last night I attended a girls night in with my new found friends, I met them at cafe mom. There were like 8-10 ladies who attended the get together, I stayed there for 3 hours, the one who hosted the GNI was married to a Filipino who is in the Army, but I didn't get to meet his husband because he was in a range somewhere. Their  house is a few blocks from us, they have like a four bed room brick house that's really beautiful and they have a
grandfather clocks on their living room. Everyone had to bring snacks and I brought a cookie, I'm glad that I really met them even though I didn't talk a lot, it was so much fun, one of the girl just had her surgery, she had breast implants and she was letting everyone touch her boobs.

I have been looking at our Wedding Albums these weekend as I was arranging some of our stuff upstairs, It made me smile while browsing each pictures in it, it brings back good memories, we were so young when we got married 3 years ago. Our pictures are one of my greatest treasure in life,  I'm so glad I brought our Wedding Album even if it was big and heavy.

House

I have wanting to buy our own house ever since we got here but my husband
said no because of his job in the Military we will be moving a lot in
every 2-3 years, it would be nice to own our own house someday. One of
the problems a home owners might face is a winged termites,

to eliminate them as early as possible before they destroy your house.

we just move into this house a few months ago and it is a privatized
military housing, if ever we have problems we will just call the
maintenance and they will assists us with everything, they even cut our
grasses regularly and collect our garbage weekly. It is nice to live
here, but I would rather have my own house so we can use our housing
allowance into a good investment someday.

When we visited Washington D.C. last summer we had to walk a lot to find  the White House, Museums and the different tourist attractions, then we stumble into a wedding pictorials in a garden between the Washington Memorial and Lincoln memorial, there was a DC wedding limo parked near the area, I'm not sure if the wedding was held there or not. My husband then asked me to keep walking and not stare at them, I told him that i was just admiring their wedding gowns and the lovely bride because she was really glowing with happiness. They were also making funny poses and the groomsmen where like lifting the bride, I guess it was all part of the choreography on the pictorials. My feet hurts when we were in D.C. my God I had to walk several miles I think just to visit the tourist spots, we didn't even get to see all of the museums there,I beg my husband to go home early because I was so tired and I was still pregnant that time.

i found love online

Me and hubby meet online, who would have thought that its really possible to find love through the internet but it happens to us. We are blessed with two wonderful boys and we have been married for 3 years and 5 months. The first two years of our marriage was spent apart, because he was deployed in Iraq and I was staying in the Philippines with our son Jaden.
It's not easy to be a Military wife, it takes a lot of strenght to overcome all the struggles that I went through, the sleepless night that i experienced worrying about my husband's safety, the tears ive shed when i miss him at night.The hardest part i guess is that he missed the first two years of our son's life, he was not with us during  his birthday's , first step and more, but I'm glad that there is internet that makes our communication easier and constant when we were apart before. Looking back now, whew I didnt know how we made it this far.

swine flu shot

DH was not feeling well when he got home earlier, he just had a swine flu shot. I'm so glad that its friday already Im looking forward to the weekend to rest and sleep as much as I can. I've been very busy this week and Im hoping tomorrow Dh can watch the kids so I can concentrate studying online, I'm so behind on my modules, I only have 7 months left to finish my course.

how to overcome my fear

I have been here in the States for 8 months and until now I'm still afraid to talk to people, I only have one friend and she's Japanese, I can relate to her because ,well obviously our english is not that good, and we are the foreigners here LOL...
Up to now Im scared to talk to people even on the phone, I always ask my husband to call for my appointments, Im afraid to go to the cashier to pay or  to tell the waiter my order. Actually my neighbors are very friendly, they always say "hi" to  me when we saw each other, another neighbor of mine even offered to cook us meals when I just had the baby.
I'm not like this in Pinas, Im very talkative to my friends but ever since I got here I'm like a totally different person, i'm not as sociable as i used to be. hay buhay!!! help??? lolz......

Christmas list

This weeks topic for GT is Christmas list, well actually I did some shopping last week for my son's Christmas gift and for myself, then I asked my hubby what he wants for Christmas and he said a new "boxers" and an Xboz 360, I told him that he already has that Xbox but he wanted a new one... grrhhh men!

What I really want to get is a new digicam for my sis, I promised her that once she'll pass the nursing board exam I'm going to get her one. Thats my  Christmas list I guess...

Winter tips

My husband taught  me how to back up my important data and pictures a long time ago, My personal computer crashed several times in a year and he has to fix the computer and reformat  it, so all my files are gone but I dont worry because I can retrieve all the lost documents  . It is important to back up your files for those valuable documents so that in case your file gets deleted accidentally or your computer has a virus your files is still protected. Especially  now that I'm studying online  to be a  medical transcriptionist, I make sure that my notes and test results are secured . Medical profession is very in demand everywhere, If you want to study too there are online physician assistant programs available right now.

Immunization

My husband took our youngest son to his immunization appointment earlier but they had to come back later this afternoon because there was a lot of people there. Here in the States they start giving vaccines at 2 months old unlike in the Philippines that they can give a certain vaccine at 1 week old.

child care provider

Im a stay at home mom watching 3 kids right now, I have a toddler and an Infant plus I baby sit Manny who is 2 years old , his dad said it will only lasts for 2 weeks but I still baby sit him until today,  LOL.. I dont really have an option to work outside of our home since my kids are still very young, My plan is to have a day care in my own home, it is so common here where I am because child care is expensive and the waiting list is CDC is very long, good thing they are offering a free training at CDC to be a Professional Child care Provider and be a Licensed Family Child Care (FCC). I already attended the orientation, they told me that they would provide toys, inspect my house and everything, how cool is that all I have to do is attend 7 days of training for CPR and first aide which I cant do until my mom gets here.
Im glad this house is a bit bigger and we dont have a lot of stuff so I can have space for my plan to have a day care at home..

I dont really want to sit around and do nothing when I can have an option to earn and help out other's who are in need of a child care provider.

my first snow encounter

On  the day of my Birthday was my first snow experience, I was literally jumping around and I woke up my husband to tell him what was going on. I went outside for a while playing with the snow, my husband was making a snowman. I cant describe how the snow taste, I promised once it will snow Im going to try it., I took my laptop outside so my mom and sister can watch the snowfall.  If  there was one thing I really wanted to see aside from disneyworld is the snow, I told my husband to let me go home now since I already fulfilled my mission coming here,then my husband said this is your home now deal with it...LOLZ..

Anyway, No matter how nice it is here I still want to spend the Holidays back home, I miss my family and friends now, I get sad when I think about them .  I hope my husband can get me these promotional jewelry to cheer me up. I'm really wondering what he will get me for Christmas, I already saw what I will give him for Christmas though I saw it at the mall yesterday, hoping that it will still be there until I get paid.

I have been very busy this past few day's because I'm baby sitting until now, I reported that guy to his command and they are helping the guy sorting out his financial stuff. I received an email from his supervisor telling me how they appreciate what I've done for them, apparently this guy is new to the area and is divorced. They promised that paying me will be their first priority, all I can do nowis wait and continue babysitting,he can't find anyone who will watch his son yet. I'm really getting annoyed but I just cant stop watching his son while he finds someonetowatch his son.

I'm so excited to decorate our tree and wrap presents for my babies, I asked DH how they celebrate Christmas here he told me that they will open their  gifts on xmas day and that's it.. DH also said that we MIGHT go  to his mom's house in SC for xmas.

here's an update of that bouncing check story I wrote a few weeks ago...

Two weeks ago he said  he will pay me on friday or Dec.1 but they didn't show up on that friday. I wasnt hoping for them to come back anymore after that no show but today oh my the nerve they showed up.  It was my husband who opened the door this morning  and talk to the guy because I was still asleep,  now Im babysitting for his son again! I almost kick my husband LOL.. well I did kinda..
My goodness he owe me $750 and only paid me 80 today and promised to pay the rest on the 15th..
Is this guy joking or baga lang gyud ug nawong(makapal ang mukha) ..

I will talk to him later when he pick up his son, I dont care if he wont pay me anymore, I will make it clear to him that I wont be babysitting for his son! this is like a trap, he will knock on  our door with his son and promise to pay me blah blah blah... asking me to babysit because no one will watch the kid and he has to go to work and im so nice and naive to believe him.
